Charles Spackman founded Spackman Entertainment Group (“SEG”) in 2011. Mr. Spackman spearheaded the listing of SEG in Singapore in 2014, and served as its Executive Chairman until 2017. For the past two decades, Mr. Spackman has been a powerhouse in the Korean entertainment industry starting in the early 2000's with the pioneering success of Sidus Pictures, the largest movie production company at the time and the first to be listed in Korea.
Charles Spackman is also the founder of Spackman Group, a global investment firm overseeing a network of leading businesses in a diverse range of industries, from finance and technology to media and entertainment. He is a veteran of the global financial markets for nearly three decades, and is renowned for his investment and business activities in the media, entertainment, and technology sectors. Prior to establishing Spackman Group in 1997, he worked in the investment banking divisions of UBS, Peregrine, Jardine Fleming and Smith Barney.
An active alumnus of Harvard, Mr. Spackman founded and chairs the Harvard-Asia Scholarship Council and the Spackman Scholarship Fund at Harvard University, a fund dedicated to providing financial aid to undergraduate students. He also served as a member of the Harvard FAS Dean's Task Force on the Undergraduate Experience, and was Co-Chair of Reunion Gifts for his class. He graduated with an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College.
